Translation of the meanings Ayah: (17) Surah: Fussilat

Ayah: 17

وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمۡ صَٰعِقَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡهُونِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
E in quanto ai Thamuditi, indicammo loro la Retta Via, ma preferirono la cecità alla luce. Così li prese la disgrazia della terribile punizione per ciò che avevano accumulato.
