Translation of the meanings Surah: Al-A‘rāf   Ayah:

Ayah: 74

وَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ إِذۡ جَعَلَكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عَادٖ وَبَوَّأَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورٗا وَتَنۡحِتُونَ ٱلۡجِبَالَ بُيُوتٗاۖ فَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ ءَالَآءَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِينَ
E ricordate che vi ha resi eredi del popolo di ‘Ad, e vi ha fatto insediare in terra, sulle cui pianure avete costruito dei palazzi e avete scavato delle case nei monti. Ricordatevi le grazie di Allāh e non diffondete la malvagità in terra da malfattori!»

Ayah: 75

قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ لِمَنۡ ءَامَنَ مِنۡهُمۡ أَتَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّ صَٰلِحٗا مُّرۡسَلٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرۡسِلَ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنُونَ
Dissero quelli che furono superbi, tra i cortigiani del suo popolo, a quelli tra i deboli che avevano creduto: «Siete sicuri che in verità Sāleħ è inviato dal suo Dio?» Dissero: “In verità crediamo a ciò con cui lui è inviato!”

Ayah: 76

قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّا بِٱلَّذِيٓ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ
Dissero i superbi: “In verità noi rinneghiamo ciò in cui credete!”

Ayah: 77

فَعَقَرُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَقَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Così sgozzarono la cammella, disobbedendo all’ordine del loro Dio, e dissero: «O Sāleħ, portaci quello che ci prometti, se sei tra i Messaggeri!»

Ayah: 78

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمۡ جَٰثِمِينَ
Allora la Scossa li sorprese, ed eccoli al mattino morti rannicchiati nelle loro case.

Ayah: 79

فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنۡهُمۡ وَقَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ لَقَدۡ أَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّي وَنَصَحۡتُ لَكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُحِبُّونَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ
Li abbandonò, e disse: «O popolo mio, vi ho già comunicato il messaggio del mio Dio e vi ho dato consigli, ma voi non amate i consiglieri!»

Ayah: 80

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنۡ أَحَدٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
E inviammo Lūţ, che disse alla sua gente: «Praticate la nefandezza? Non vi ha preceduto nessun popolo dei Mondi!

Ayah: 81

إِنَّكُمۡ لَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهۡوَةٗ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٞ مُّسۡرِفُونَ
In verità voi vi avvicinate ai maschi e ignorate invece le donne! Ma siete un popolo licenzioso!”
