Ayah: 42

لَوۡ كَانَ عَرَضٗا قَرِيبٗا وَسَفَرٗا قَاصِدٗا لَّٱتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَٰكِنۢ بَعُدَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلشُّقَّةُۚ وَسَيَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَوِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡنَا لَخَرَجۡنَا مَعَكُمۡ يُهۡلِكُونَ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
Loro ti avrebbero di certo seguito se il vantaggio fosse stato chiaro e il viaggio breve, ma la distanza era molto impegnativa per loro. Loro giureranno su Allāh: “Se potessimo, di sicuro usciremmo in battaglia con voi”, ma fanno un torto a se stessi: Allāh sa che stanno mentendo.
