Ayah: 17

قَالُوْا یٰۤاَبَانَاۤ اِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا یُوْسُفَ عِنْدَ مَتَاعِنَا فَاَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ ۚ— وَمَاۤ اَنْتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لَّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟
ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೇಳತೊಡಗಿದರು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯೇ ನಾವು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಓಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿದ್ದೆವು. ಯೂಸುಫ್‌ರವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳ ಬಳಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆವು, ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೋಳವು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ನಾವು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು ನೀವಂತೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವರೇ ಅಲ್ಲ.
