یُوْسُفُ اَیُّهَا الصِّدِّیْقُ اَفْتِنَا فِیْ سَبْعِ بَقَرٰتٍ سِمَانٍ یَّاْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ وَّسَبْعِ سُنْۢبُلٰتٍ خُضْرٍ وَّاُخَرَ یٰبِسٰتٍ ۙ— لَّعَلِّیْۤ اَرْجِعُ اِلَی النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَعْلَمُوْنَ ۟
ಓ ಸತ್ಯಸಂಧ ಯೂಸುಫ್, ಏಳು ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಹಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಏಳು ಸಣಕಲು ಹಸುಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಏಳು ತೆನೆಗಳು ಹಸಿರಾಗಿವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಳಿದ ಏಳು ಒಣಗಿದವುಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.
