Ayah: 1

وَالْفَجْرِ ۟ۙ
ಪ್ರಭಾತದ ಮೇಲಾಣೆ!

وَلَیَالٍ عَشْرٍ ۟ۙ
ಹತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲಾಣೆ![1]
[1] ದುಲ್-ಹಿಜ್ಜ ತಿಂಗಳ ಮೊದಲ ಹತ್ತು ದಿನ-ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳು.

وَّالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ ۟ۙ
ಸಮ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಸಗಳ ಮೇಲಾಣೆ!

وَالَّیْلِ اِذَا یَسْرِ ۟ۚ
ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಮೇಲಾಣೆ! ಅದು ಚಲಿಸತೊಡಗುವಾಗ.

هَلْ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِیْ حِجْرٍ ۟ؕ
ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿರುವವನ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಪರ್ಯಾಪ್ತ ಆಣೆಯಿದೆಯೇ?

اَلَمْ تَرَ كَیْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ ۟
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕನು (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ಆದ್ ಗೋತ್ರದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ನೀವು ನೋಡಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

Ayah: 7

اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ ۟
ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ಜನರಾದ ಇರಮ್ ಗೋತ್ರದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ.[1]
[1] ಇರಮ್ ಎಂದರೆ ಆದ್ ಗೋತ್ರದವರ ಪೂರ್ವ ಪಿತಾಮಹನ ಹೆಸರು. ಈತನ ಸಂತಾನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯೇ ಆದ್ ಗೋತ್ರ. ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ಜನರು ಎಂಬ ನುಡಿಗಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಹದಾರ್ಢ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

الَّتِیْ لَمْ یُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِی الْبِلَادِ ۟
ಅವರಂತಿರುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ಊರಲ್ಲೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

وَثَمُوْدَ الَّذِیْنَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ ۟
ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮೂದ್ ಗೋತ್ರದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ.

وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِی الْاَوْتَادِ ۟
ಗೂಟಗಳ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಫರೋಹ‍ನೊಂದಿಗೆ.[1]
[1] ಗೂಟಗಳ ಒಡೆಯ ಎಂದರೆ ಮಹಾ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವವನು ಎಂದರ್ಥ. ಈತ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮೊಳೆ ಬಡಿದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎಂಬ ಅರ್ಥದಲ್ಲೂ ಈತನನ್ನು ಗೂಟಗಳ (ಮೊಳೆಗಳ) ಒಡೆಯ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗಿರಬಹುದು.

الَّذِیْنَ طَغَوْا فِی الْبِلَادِ ۟
ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿರೇಕವೆಸಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

فَاَكْثَرُوْا فِیْهَا الْفَسَادَ ۟
ಕಿಡಿಗೇಡಿತನವನ್ನು ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

فَصَبَّ عَلَیْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ ۟ۚۙ
ಕೊನೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕನು (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಕೊರಡನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದನು.

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ ۟ؕ
ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕನು (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ನಿಗಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.[1]
[1] ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಅವನ ನಿಗಾದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

Ayah: 15

فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكْرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗ ۙ۬— فَیَقُوْلُ رَبِّیْۤ اَكْرَمَنِ ۟ؕ
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೇಗಿದೆಯೆಂದರೆ, ಅವನ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕನು (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ಅವನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: “ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕ (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಣ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”

وَاَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیْهِ رِزْقَهٗ ۙ۬— فَیَقُوْلُ رَبِّیْۤ اَهَانَنِ ۟ۚ
ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಉಪಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗೊಳಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: “ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕ (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಂದನಾರ್ಹನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”

كَلَّا بَلْ لَّا تُكْرِمُوْنَ الْیَتِیْمَ ۟ۙ
ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಅನಾಥರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوْنَ عَلٰی طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِیْنِ ۟ۙ
ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನ ನೀಡಲು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

وَتَاْكُلُوْنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكْلًا لَّمًّا ۟ۙ
ನೀವು ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಚಿ ಬಾಚಿ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ.

وَّتُحِبُّوْنَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ۟ؕ
ನೀವು ಧನವನ್ನು ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.

كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ۟ۙ
ಅಲ್ಲ (ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹಾಗಾಗಬಾರದು). ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಮತಟ್ಟುಗೊಳಿಸುವಾಗ.

وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ۟ۚ
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕನು (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು) ಬರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಲುಸಾಲಾಗಿ ದೇವದೂತರು‍ಗಳು ಬರುವಾಗ.

وَجِایْٓءَ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۙ۬— یَوْمَىِٕذٍ یَّتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰی لَهُ الذِّكْرٰی ۟ؕ
ಆ ದಿನ ನರಕವನ್ನು ತರಲಾಗುವುದು. ಅಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಮನವರಿಕೆಯಾಗುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ಆಗ ಮನವರಿಕೆಯಾಗುವುದರಿಂದ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ?

یَقُوْلُ یٰلَیْتَنِیْ قَدَّمْتُ لِحَیَاتِیْ ۟ۚ
ಅವನು ಹೇಳುವನು: “ಅಯ್ಯೋ! ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಈ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿತ್ತು!”

فَیَوْمَىِٕذٍ لَّا یُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ۟ۙ
ಅಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಾಹು ನೀಡುವಂತಹ (ಕಠೋರ) ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.

وَّلَا یُوْثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ۟ؕ
ಅವನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಂತೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ಬಂಧಿಸಲು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.

یٰۤاَیَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَىِٕنَّةُ ۟ۗۙ
ಓ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮವೇ!

ارْجِعِیْۤ اِلٰی رَبِّكِ رَاضِیَةً مَّرْضِیَّةً ۟ۚ
ನಿನ್ನ ಪರಿಪಾಲಕನ (ಅಲ್ಲಾಹನ) ಬಳಿಗೆ ಮರಳು—ನೀನು ಅವನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಪ್ರೀತನಾಗಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಪ್ರೀತನಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ.
