Translation of the meanings
Ayah: (138) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَجَٰوَزۡنَا بِبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ فَأَتَوۡاْ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ يَعۡكُفُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَصۡنَامٖ لَّهُمۡۚ قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَى ٱجۡعَل لَّنَآ إِلَٰهٗا كَمَا لَهُمۡ ءَالِهَةٞۚ قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ تَجۡهَلُونَ
138. Ir Mes pernešėme Israelio (Izraelio) vaikus (saugiai) per jūrą, ir jie susidūrė su žmonėmis, atsidavusiais kai kuriems savo stabams (garbinime). Jie tarė: „O Mūsa (Moze), pagamink mums ilah [4] (dievybę) taip, kaip ir jie turi alihah (dievybes).“ Jis tarė: „Iš tiesų, jūs esate nežinantys žmonės (Allaho Didybės ir Didingumo bei to, kas jums privaloma, t. y. negarbinti nieko kito tik Allahą Vienintelį, Vienintelį viso, kas egzistuoja, Dievą.)“
[4] Ilah: turintis teisę būti garbinamas.
