Ayah: 5

فِیْ جِیْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ ۟۠
അവളുടെ കഴുത്തില്‍ ഈന്തപ്പനനാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു കയറുണ്ടായിരിക്കും.(2)
2) 'വിറകുചുമട്ടുകാരി' എന്നത് ഏഷണിക്കാരി എന്ന അര്‍ത്ഥത്തിലുള്ള അലങ്കാര പ്രയോഗമാണെന്നാണ് ചില വ്യാഖ്യാതാക്കള്‍ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളത്. നബി(ﷺ) നടക്കുന്ന വഴിയില്‍ അവള്‍ മുള്ളുകള്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് ഇട്ടിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് അവളെ അങ്ങനെ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചതെന്നാണ് മറ്റൊരഭിപ്രായം. അവളുടെ കഴുത്തില്‍ കയറുണ്ടായിരിക്കും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് മുള്ളുകെട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരാന്‍ വേണ്ടി കയറും കഴുത്തിലിട്ട് നടക്കുകയാണവള്‍ എന്ന അര്‍ത്ഥത്തിലായിരിക്കാം. നരകത്തില്‍ അവള്‍ക്ക് ലഭിക്കാന്‍ പോകുന്ന ശിക്ഷയാണ് അതുകൊണ്ടുദ്ദേശ്യമെന്നാണ് ചില വ്യാഖ്യാതാക്കളുടെ അഭിപ്രായം.
