Translation of the meanings Ayah: (104) Surah: Al-Baqarah
یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَقُوْلُوْا رَاعِنَا وَقُوْلُوا انْظُرْنَا وَاسْمَعُوْا ؕ— وَلِلْكٰفِرِیْنَ عَذَابٌ اَلِیْمٌ ۟
ഹേ: സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ (നബിയോട്‌) 'റാഇനാ'(25) എന്ന് പറയരുത്‌. പകരം 'ഉന്‍ളുര്‍നാ' എന്ന് പറയുകയും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ച് കേള്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍ക്ക് വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷയുണ്ട്‌.
25 'റാഇനാ' എന്ന അറബിവാക്കിൻ്റെ അര്‍ഥം 'ഞങ്ങളെ പരിഗണിക്കേണമേ' എന്നാണ്. നബി(ﷺ) യോടുള്ള സംഭാഷണത്തില്‍ സഹാബികള്‍ ചിലപ്പോള്‍ ഈ വാക്ക് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ യഹൂദരുടെ ഭാഷയില്‍ 'റാഇനാ' എന്നത് ഒരു അസഭ്യവാക്കാണ്. നബി(ﷺ)യെ അവഹേളിക്കാനായിരുന്നു ദ്വയാര്‍ഥമുള്ള ആ വാക്ക് അവര്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത്. അതിനാല്‍ ഖുര്‍ആന്‍ ആ വാക്ക് നിരോധിക്കുകയും പകരം 'ഞങ്ങളെ നേക്കേണമേ' എന്നര്‍ഥമുള്ള 'ഉന്‍ളുര്‍നാ' എന്ന വാക്ക് നിര്‍ദേശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. വിശ്വാസികള്‍ പരസ്പരം പുലര്‍ത്തേണ്ട ബഹുമാനത്തെ ദോഷകരമായി ബാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പദപ്രയോഗം പോലും വന്നുപോകാതെ സൂക്ഷിക്കണമെന്ന സൂചന ഇതിലടങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
