Translation of the meanings Ayah: (31) Surah: Al-Baqarah
وَعَلَّمَ اٰدَمَ الْاَسْمَآءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَی الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةِ فَقَالَ اَنْۢبِـُٔوْنِیْ بِاَسْمَآءِ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟
അവന്‍ (അല്ലാഹു) ആദമിന് നാമങ്ങളെല്ലാം പഠിപ്പിച്ചു.(8) പിന്നീട് ആ പേരിട്ടവയെ അവന്‍ മലക്കുകള്‍ക്ക് കാണിച്ചു. എന്നിട്ടവന്‍ ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു: നിങ്ങള്‍ സത്യവാന്‍മാരാണെങ്കില്‍ ഇവയുടെ നാമങ്ങള്‍ എനിക്ക് പറഞ്ഞുതരൂ.
8 ഒരു വസ്തുവിൻ്റെ പേര്, അതിൻ്റെ ബാഹ്യവും ആന്തരികവുമായ ഘടനയെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പേരും പൊരുളും അന്യോന്യം ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു കിടക്കുന്നു. മനുഷ്യന്‍ ഏത് വസ്തുവെയും വസ്തുതയെയും തൻ്റെ വ്യാവഹാരിക മേഖലയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നത് അതിന് ഒരു പേരിട്ടുകൊണ്ടാണ്. നാമകരണത്തിനുള്ള സിദ്ധി ആദിമ മനുഷ്യനു തന്നെ നല്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ഈ വചനം വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
