Translation of the meanings Ayah: (93) Surah: Āl-‘Imrān
كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلًّا لِّبَنِیْۤ اِسْرَآءِیْلَ اِلَّا مَا حَرَّمَ اِسْرَآءِیْلُ عَلٰی نَفْسِهٖ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تُنَزَّلَ التَّوْرٰىةُ ؕ— قُلْ فَاْتُوْا بِالتَّوْرٰىةِ فَاتْلُوْهَاۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟
എല്ലാ ആഹാരപദാര്‍ത്ഥവും ഇസ്രായീല്‍ സന്തതികള്‍ക്ക് അനുവദനീയമായിരുന്നു. തൗറാത്ത് അവതരിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതിന് മുമ്പായി ഇസ്രായീല്‍ (യഅ്ഖൂബ് നബി) തന്‍റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ നിഷിദ്ധമാക്കിയതൊഴികെ. (നബിയേ,) പറയുക: നിങ്ങള്‍ സത്യവാന്‍മാരാണെങ്കില്‍ തൗറാത്ത് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അതൊന്ന് വായിച്ചുകേള്‍പിക്കുക.(17)
17) ഇബ്‌റാഹീം നബി(عليه السلام)യുടെ ഋജുവായ മാര്‍ഗത്തിലേക്ക് വിശുദ്ധ ഖുര്‍ആന്‍ വേദക്കാരെ ക്ഷണിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ ഒരു പ്രശ്‌നം ഉന്നയിച്ചു. ഇബ്‌റാഹീമി(عليه السلام)ൻ്റെ മാര്‍ഗത്തില്‍ ഒട്ടകമാംസം നിഷിദ്ധമാണല്ലോ. അപ്പോള്‍ മുഹമ്മദ് നബി (ﷺ) അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനുളള ന്യയീകരണമെന്ത് എന്ന്. അതിനാണ് ഈ ആയത്ത് മറുപടി നല്‍കുന്നത്. ഒട്ടകമാംസം ഇബ്‌റാഹീം നബി നിഷിദ്ധമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതല്ല. പില്‍ക്കാലത്ത് യഅ്ഖുബ് നബി(عليه السلام) തൻ്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ നിഷിദ്ധമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതാണ്. പിന്നീട് ഇസ്രായീല്യര്‍ക്ക് അത് നിയമമാക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
