Translation of the meanings Ayah: (44) Surah: Saba’
وَمَاۤ اٰتَیْنٰهُمْ مِّنْ كُتُبٍ یَّدْرُسُوْنَهَا وَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلَیْهِمْ قَبْلَكَ مِنْ نَّذِیْرٍ ۟ؕ
അവര്‍ക്ക് പഠിക്കാനുള്ള വേദഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളൊന്നും നാം അവര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കിയിരുന്നില്ല. നിനക്ക് മുമ്പ് അവരിലേക്ക് ഒരു താക്കീതുകാരനെയും നാം നിയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നുമില്ല.(23)
23) തങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍വ്വികരുടെ മതമാണ് പിന്തുടരുന്നതെന്നും, അത് കുറ്റമറ്റതാണെന്നും ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ മക്കയിലെ ബഹുദൈവാരാധകരുടെ വാദം. എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ മാതൃകാ പുരുഷന്മാരായി കരുതിയിരുന്ന ആ മുന്‍ഗാമികള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനും നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഒരു വേദഗ്രന്ഥവും അവതരിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. എന്നിരിക്കെ അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസാചാരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് എങ്ങനെയാണ് പ്രാമാണികതയുണ്ടാകുക?
