Translation of the meanings Ayah: (76) Surah: Al-An‘ām
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَیْهِ الَّیْلُ رَاٰ كَوْكَبًا ۚ— قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّیْ ۚ— فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَاۤ اُحِبُّ الْاٰفِلِیْنَ ۟
അങ്ങനെ രാത്രി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ (ഇരുട്ട്കൊണ്ട്‌) മൂടിയപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു നക്ഷത്രം കണ്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ, എന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവ്‌! എന്നിട്ട് അത് അസ്തമിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: അസ്തമിച്ച് പോകുന്നവരെ ഞാന്‍ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നില്ല(16)
16) വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം സൂര്യ-ചന്ദ്ര-നക്ഷത്രാദികളെയും ആരാധിക്കുന്നവരായിരുന്നു ഇബ്‌റാഹീം നബി(عليه السلام)യുടെ നാട്ടുകാര്‍. അല്ലാഹുവിൻ്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളായ ആകാശഗോളങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ദിവ്യത്വം കല്‍പിച്ച് ആരാധിക്കുന്നത് എത്ര വലിയ മൗഢ്യമാണെന്ന് അവരെ ഉണര്‍ത്താനാണ് ഇതുവഴി ഇബ്‌റാഹീം നബി (عليه السلام) ശ്രമിച്ചത്.
