Translation of the meanings Ayah: (138) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَجٰوَزْنَا بِبَنِیْۤ اِسْرَآءِیْلَ الْبَحْرَ فَاَتَوْا عَلٰی قَوْمٍ یَّعْكُفُوْنَ عَلٰۤی اَصْنَامٍ لَّهُمْ ۚ— قَالُوْا یٰمُوْسَی اجْعَلْ لَّنَاۤ اِلٰهًا كَمَا لَهُمْ اٰلِهَةٌ ؕ— قَالَ اِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُوْنَ ۟
ഇസ്രായീല്‍ സന്തതികളെ നാം കടല്‍ കടത്തി (രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി.) എന്നിട്ട് തങ്ങളുടെ ബിംബങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഭജനമിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ജനതയുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ അവര്‍ ചെന്നെത്തി. അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഹേ; മൂസാ, ഇവര്‍ക്ക് ആരാധ്യരുള്ളതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഒരു ആരാധ്യനെ നീ ഏര്‍പെടുത്തിത്തരണം.(24) അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ വിവരമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജനവിഭാഗമാകുന്നു.
24) ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ്റെ ശിക്ഷണത്തില്‍ കഴിയുന്ന ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ പോലും ബഹുദൈവാരാധനക്കുളള പൈശാചിക പ്രലോഭനം എത്ര തീവ്രമാണെന്ന് ഈ സംഭവം സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു
