Ayah: 1

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُدَّثِّرُ
Yaa mammarataa!

قُمۡ فَأَنذِرۡ
Ka'ii akeekkachiisi.

وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرۡ
Gooftaa kee guddisi

وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرۡ
Uffata kee qulqulleessi

وَٱلرُّجۡزَ فَٱهۡجُرۡ
Taabotaan oodi.

وَلَا تَمۡنُن تَسۡتَكۡثِرُ
Baay'ifannaa barbaachaaf hin arjoomin.

وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصۡبِرۡ
Gooftaa keetiif obsi.

فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي ٱلنَّاقُورِ
Yeroo xurumbaa keessa afuufame.

فَذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَوۡمٌ عَسِيرٌ
Sun, guyyaan gaafasii guyyaa rakkisaadha.

عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ غَيۡرُ يَسِيرٖ
Kaafiroota irratti (guyyaa) laafaa miti.

ذَرۡنِي وَمَنۡ خَلَقۡتُ وَحِيدٗا
Nama ani kophaa isa uumee wajjin (walitti) Na dhiisi.

وَجَعَلۡتُ لَهُۥ مَالٗا مَّمۡدُودٗا
Kan Ani qabeenya bal'aas isaaf godhe.

وَبَنِينَ شُهُودٗا
Ilmaan dhiiraa kan isa biratti argamanis.

وَمَهَّدتُّ لَهُۥ تَمۡهِيدٗا
Bal'isuus kan Ani isaaf bal'ise;

ثُمَّ يَطۡمَعُ أَنۡ أَزِيدَ
Ergasii akka Ani isaaf dabalu kan kajeela;

كَلَّآۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لِأٓيَٰتِنَا عَنِيدٗا
Haa dhorgamu! Inni keeyyattoota Keenya mormaa ture.

سَأُرۡهِقُهُۥ صَعُودًا
Dhugumatti, rakkoo guddaattin isa dirqa.

إِنَّهُۥ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ
Inni ni xiinxale; ni tilmaames.
