Translation of the meanings Ayah: (168) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَقَطَّعْنٰهُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ اُمَمًا ۚ— مِنْهُمُ الصّٰلِحُوْنَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ ؗ— وَبَلَوْنٰهُمْ بِالْحَسَنٰتِ وَالسَّیِّاٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَرْجِعُوْنَ ۟
168਼ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਧੜ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕੁੱਝ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨੇਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ (ਭੈੜੇ) ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾਂ ਪਰਖਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਕਿ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ (ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹਰਕਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਾਜ਼ ਆ ਜਾਣ।
