قَالُوْا یٰۤاَبَانَا اسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَاۤ اِنَّا كُنَّا خٰطِـِٕیْنَ ۟

‘අපගේ පියාණනි! අපගේ පාපයන්වලට ඔබ අප වෙනුවෙන් සමාව අයැද සිටිනු මැනව! නියත වශයෙන් ම අපි වැරදි කරන්නන් වූයෙමු’ යැයි ඔවුහු පැවසුවෝ ය.
