Translation of the meanings Ayah: (17) Surah: Fussilat
وَاَمَّا ثَمُوْدُ فَهَدَیْنٰهُمْ فَاسْتَحَبُّوا الْعَمٰی عَلَی الْهُدٰی فَاَخَذَتْهُمْ صٰعِقَةُ الْعَذَابِ الْهُوْنِ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَكْسِبُوْنَ ۟ۚ
ஆக, ஸமூது சமுதாயம், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு நேர்வழிகாட்டினோம். ஆனால், அவர்கள் நேர்வழியை விட (வழிகேடான) குருட்டுத் தனத்தைத்தான் அதிகம் விரும்பினார்கள். ஆகவே, அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவற்றின் காரணமாக அவர்களை இழிவான தண்டனையின் பேரழிவு பிடித்தது.
