Ayah: 163

وَسْـَٔلْهُمْ عَنِ الْقَرْیَةِ الَّتِیْ كَانَتْ حَاضِرَةَ الْبَحْرِ ۘ— اِذْ یَعْدُوْنَ فِی السَّبْتِ اِذْ تَاْتِیْهِمْ حِیْتَانُهُمْ یَوْمَ سَبْتِهِمْ شُرَّعًا وَّیَوْمَ لَا یَسْبِتُوْنَ ۙ— لَا تَاْتِیْهِمْ ۛۚ— كَذٰلِكَ ۛۚ— نَبْلُوْهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَفْسُقُوْنَ ۟
మరియు సముద్ర తీరము నందున్న ఆ నగర (వాసులను) గురించి వారిని అడుగు; వారు శనివారపు (సబ్త్) ధర్మాన్ని ఉల్లంఘించేవారు! ఆ శనివారం (సబ్త్) రోజుననే చేపలు వారి ముందుకు ఎగిరెగిరి నీటిపైకి వచ్చేవి. మరియు శనివారపు (సబ్త్) ధర్మం పాటించని రోజు (చేపలు) వచ్చేవి కావు. వారి అవిధేయతకు కారణంగా మేము వారిని ఈ విధంగా పరీక్షకు గురిచేశాము.[1]
