وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ هَلۡ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
[50.36] เราได้ทำลายผู้คนไปกี่มากน้อยแล้ว ก่อนหน้าพวกเขาทั้งๆ ที่เขาทั้งหลายมีความเข้มแข็งทางสมรรถภาพกว่าพวกเขา แล้วพวกเขาได้ออกเดินทางไปตามเมืองต่าง ๆ (พวกเขาเหล่านั้น) มีทางหนีรอดหรือ
