Ayah: 73

قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ مَّا جِئْنَا لِنُفْسِدَ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَمَا كُنَّا سٰرِقِیْنَ ۟
انہوں نے کہا اللہ کی قسم! تم کو خوب علم ہے کہ ہم ملک میں فساد پھیلانے کے لئے نہیں آئے اور نہ ہم چور ہیں.(1)
(1) برداران یوسف (عليه السلام) چونکہ اس منصوبے سے بےخبر تھے جو حضرت یوسف (عليه السلام) نے تیار کیا تھا، اس لئے قسم کھا کر انہوں نے اپنے چور ہونے کی اور زمین میں فساد برپا کرنے کی نفی کی۔
