Translation of the meanings Ayah: (32) Surah: Ar-Ra‘d
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَاَمْلَیْتُ لِلَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُهُمْ ۫— فَكَیْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ ۟
یقیناً آپ سے پہلے کے پیغمبروں کا مذاق اڑایا گیا تھا اور میں نے بھی کافروں کو ڈھیل دی تھی پھر انہیں پکڑ لیا تھا، پس میرا عذاب کیسا رہا؟(1)
(1) حدیث میں آتا ہے «إِنَّ اللهَ لَيُمْلِي لِلظَّالِمِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخَذَهُ لَمْ يُفْلِتْهُ»، ”اللہ ظالم کو مہلت دیئے جاتا ہے حتٰی کہ جب اسے پکڑتا ہے تو پھر چھوڑتا نہیں“۔اس کے بعد نبی (صلى الله عليه وسلم) نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی: «وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ» (سورۂ ھود:102) ”اسی طرح تیرے رب کی پکڑ ہے جب وہ ظلم کی مرتکب بستیوں کو پکڑتا ہے۔ یقینا اس کی پکڑ بہت ہی الم ناک اور سخت ہے“۔ (صحيح بخاري تفسير سورة هود ومسلم، كتاب البر، باب تحريم الظلم)۔
