Ayah: 80

وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ اَصْحٰبُ الْحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ ۟ۙ
اور حِجر والوں نے بھی رسولوں کو جھٹلایا.(1)
(1) حِجر حضرت صالح (عليه السلام) کی قوم ثمود کی بستیوں کا نام تھا۔ انہیں ”اَصْحٰبُ الْحِـجْرِ“ (حجر والے) کہا گیا ہے۔ یہ بستی مدینہ اور تبوک کے درمیان تھی۔ انہوں نے اپنے پیغمبر حضرت صالح (عليه السلام) کو جھٹلایا۔ لیکن یہاں اللہ تعالٰی نے فرمایا ”انہوں نے پیغمبروں کو جھٹلایا“، یہ اس لئے کہ ایک پیغمبر کی تکذیب ایسے ہی ہے جیسے سارے پیغمبروں کی تکذیب۔
