Translation of the meanings Ayah: (23) Surah: An-Nahl
لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ یَعْلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّوْنَ وَمَا یُعْلِنُوْنَ ؕ— اِنَّهٗ لَا یُحِبُّ الْمُسْتَكْبِرِیْنَ ۟
بےشک وشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر اس چیز کو، جسے وه لوگ چھپاتے ہیں اور جسے ﻇاہر کرتے ہیں، بخوبی جانتا ہے۔ وه غرور کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتا.(1)
(1) اسْتِكْبَارٌ کا مطلب ہوتا ہے اپنے آپ کو بڑا سمجھتے ہوئے صحیح اور حق بات کا انکار کر دینا اور دوسروں کو حقیر و کمتر سمجھنا۔ کبر کی یہی تعریف حدیث میں بیان کی گئی ـ(صحيح مسلم، كتاب الإيمان ، باب تحريم الكبر وبيانه) یہ کبر وغرور اللہ کو سخت ناپسند ہے۔ حدیث میں ہے کہ ”وہ شخص جنت میں نہیں جائے گا جس کے دل میں ایک ذرہ کے برابر بھی کبر ہوگا“۔ (حوالۂ مذکور)
