Translation of the meanings Ayah: (238) Surah: Al-Baqarah
حٰفِظُوْا عَلَی الصَّلَوٰتِ وَالصَّلٰوةِ الْوُسْطٰی ۗ— وَقُوْمُوْا لِلّٰهِ قٰنِتِیْنَ ۟
(1) درمیان والی نماز سے مراد عصر کی نماز ہے جس کو اس حدیث رسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم) نے متعین کردیا ہے جس میں آپ (صلى الله عليه وسلم) نے خندق والے دن عصر کی نماز کو صَلاة وُسْطَىٰ قراردیا۔ (صحيح بخاري، كتاب الجهاد، باب الدعاء على المشركين بالهزيمة وصحيح مسلم، كتاب المساجد ، باب الدليل لمن قال الصلاة الوسطى ....)
