Translation of the meanings Ayah: (38) Surah: Al-Furqān
وَّعَادًا وَّثَمُوْدَاۡ وَاَصْحٰبَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُوْنًا بَیْنَ ذٰلِكَ كَثِیْرًا ۟
(1) رَسٌّ کے معنی کنویں کے ہیں أَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ، کنویں والے۔ اس کی تعیین میں مفسرین کے درمیان اختلاف ہے، امام ابن جریر طبری نے کہا ہے کہ اس سےمراد اصحاب الاخدود ہیں جن کا ذکر سورۃ البروج میں ہے (ابن کثیر)۔
(2) قَرْنٌ کے صحیح معنی ہیں، ہم عصر لوگوں کا ایک گروہ۔ جب ایک نسل کے لوگ ختم ہوجائیں تو دوسری نسل دوسرا قرن کہلائے گی۔ (ابن کثیر)، اس معنی میں ہر نبی کی امت بھی ایک قرن ہوسکتی ہے۔
(2) قَرْنٌ کے صحیح معنی ہیں، ہم عصر لوگوں کا ایک گروہ۔ جب ایک نسل کے لوگ ختم ہوجائیں تو دوسری نسل دوسرا قرن کہلائے گی۔ (ابن کثیر)، اس معنی میں ہر نبی کی امت بھی ایک قرن ہوسکتی ہے۔
