Translation of the meanings Ayah: (16) Surah: Al-Qasas
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّیْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِیْ فَاغْفِرْ لِیْ فَغَفَرَ لَهٗ ؕ— اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِیْمُ ۟
پھر دعا کرنے لگے کہ اے پروردگار! میں نے خود اپنے اوپر ﻇلم کیا، تو مجھے معاف فرما دے(1) ، اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسے بخش دیا، وه بخشش اور بہت مہربانی کرنے واﻻ ہے.
(1) یہ اتفاقیہ قتل اگرچہ کبیرہ گناہ نہیں تھا، کیونکہ کبائر سے اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے پیغمبروں کی حفاظت فرماتا ہے۔ تاہم یہ بھی ایسا گناہ نظر آتا تھا جس کے لیے بہت بخشش انہوں نے ضروری سمجھی۔ دوسرے، انہیں خطرہ تھا کہ فرعون کو اس کی اطلاع ملی تو اس کے بدلے انہیں قتل نہ کر دے۔
