Translation of the meanings Ayah: (67) Surah: Yā-Sīn
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنٰهُمْ عَلٰی مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوْا مُضِیًّا وَّلَا یَرْجِعُوْنَ ۟۠
اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ان کی جگہ ہی پر ان کی صورتیں مسﺦ کر دیتے پھر نہ وه چل پھر سکتے اور نہ لوٹ سکتے.(1)
(1) یعنی نہ آگے جا سکتے، نہ پیچھے لوٹ سکتے، بلکہ پتھر کی طرح ایک جگہ پڑے رہتے۔ مسخ کے معنی پیدائش میں تبدیلی کے ہیں، یعنی انسان سے پتھر یا جانور کی شکل میں تبدیل کر دینا۔
