Translation of the meanings
Ayah: (103) Surah: As-Sāffāt
فَلَمَّاۤ اَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهٗ لِلْجَبِیْنِ ۟ۚ
(1) ہر انسان کے منہ (چہرے) پر دو جبینیں (دائیں اور بائیں) ہوتی ہیں اور درمیان میں پیشانی (جَبْهَةٌ) اس لئے لِلْجَبِينِ کا زیادہ صحیح ترجمہ (کروٹ پر) ہے یعنی اس طرح کروٹ پر لٹا لیا، جس طرح جانور کو ذبح کرتے وقت قبلہ رخ پر لٹایا جاتا ہے۔ (پیشانی یا منہ کے بل لٹانے کاﹿ ترجمہ اس لئے کیا جاتا ہے کہ مشہور ہے حضرت اسماعیل (عليه السلام) نے وصیت کی کہ انہیں اس طرح لٹایا جائے کہ چہرہ سامنے نہ رہے جس سے پیار وشفقت کا جذبہ امر الہٰی پر غالب آنےکا امکان نہ رہے۔
