Translation of the meanings Ayah: (18) Surah: An-Nisā’
وَلَیْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِیْنَ یَعْمَلُوْنَ السَّیِّاٰتِ ۚ— حَتّٰۤی اِذَا حَضَرَ اَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ اِنِّیْ تُبْتُ الْـٰٔنَ وَلَا الَّذِیْنَ یَمُوْتُوْنَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ ؕ— اُولٰٓىِٕكَ اَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا اَلِیْمًا ۟
ان کی توبہ نہیں جو برائیاں کرتے چلے جائیں یہاں تک کہ جب ان میں سے کسی کے پاس موت آجائے تو کہہ دے کہ میں نے اب توبہ کی(1) ، اور ان کی توبہ بھی قبول نہیں جو کفر پر ہی مر جائیں، یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے ہم نے المناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے۔
(1) اس سے واضح ہے کہ موت کے وقت کی گئی توبہ غیر مقبول ہے، جس طرح کہ حدیث میں بھی آتا ہے کہ ضروری تفصیل آل عمران کی آیت90میں گزر چکی ہے۔ٍ
