Translation of the meanings Ayah: (57) Surah: Al-Mā’idah
یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الَّذِیْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا دِیْنَكُمْ هُزُوًا وَّلَعِبًا مِّنَ الَّذِیْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَالْكُفَّارَ اَوْلِیَآءَ ۚ— وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ ۟
مسلمانو! ان لوگوں کو دوست نہ بناؤ جو تمہارے دین کو ہنسی کھیل بنائے ہوئے ہیں (خواه) وه ان میں سے ہوں جو تم سے پہلے کتاب دیئے گئے یا کفار ہوں(1) اگر تم مومن ہو تو اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرتے رہو۔
(1) اہل کتاب سے یہود ونصاریٰ اور کفار سے مشرکین مراد ہیں۔ یہاں پھر یہی تاکید کی گئی ہے کہ دین کو کھیل مذاق بنانے والے چونکہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے دشمن ہیں، اس لئے ان کے ساتھ اہل ایمان کی دوستی نہیں ہونی چاہئے۔
