Translation of the meanings Ayah: (4) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَكَمْ مِّنْ قَرْیَةٍ اَهْلَكْنٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَاْسُنَا بَیَاتًا اَوْ هُمْ قَآىِٕلُوْنَ ۟
اور بہت بستیوں کو ہم نے تباه کردیا اور ان پر ہمارا عذاب رات کے وقت پہنچا یا ایسی حالت میں کہ وه دوپہر کے وقت آرام میں تھے۔(1)
(1) ”قَائِلُونَ“ قَيْلُولَةٌ سے ہے، جو دوپہر کے وقت استراحت (آرام کرنے) کو کہا جاتا ہے۔ مطلب یہ ہے کہ ہمارا عذاب اچانک ایسے وقتوں میں آیا جب وہ آرام و راحت کے لئے بے خبر بستروں میں آسودۂ خواب تھے۔
