Translation of the meanings Ayah: (65) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَاِلٰی عَادٍ اَخَاهُمْ هُوْدًا ؕ— قَالَ یٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَیْرُهٗ ؕ— اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ۟
اور ہم نے قوم عاد کی طرف ان کے بھائی ہود (علیہ السلام) کو بھیجا(1) ۔ انہوں نے فرمایا اے میری قوم! تم اللہ کی عبادت کرو، اس کے سوا کوئی تمہارا معبود نہیں، سو کیا تم نہیں ڈرتے
(1) یہ قوم عاد، عاد اولیٰ ہے جن کی رہائش یمن میں ریتلے پہاڑوں میں تھی اور اپنی قوت و طاقت میں بےمثال تھی ۔ ان کی طرف حضرت ہود (عليه السلام)، جو اسی قوم کے ایک فرد تھے، نبی بن کر آئے۔
