لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أُحۡصِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ ضَرۡبٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ يَحۡسَبُهُمُ ٱلۡجَاهِلُ أَغۡنِيَآءَ مِنَ ٱلتَّعَفُّفِ تَعۡرِفُهُم بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ لَا يَسۡـَٔلُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ إِلۡحَافٗاۗ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنۡ خَيۡرٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌ

(Ẹ tọrẹ) fún àwọn aláìní tí wọ́n sé (ara wọn mọ́nú mọ́sálásí Ànábì - kí ìkẹ́ àti ọlà Allāhu máa bá a - nítorí kí wọ́n lè máa jagun) sí ojú-ọ̀nà Allāhu (fún ààbò ẹ̀sìn). Wọn kò sì lágbára lílọ-bíbọ̀ lórí ilẹ̀ (fún òkòwò ṣíṣe). Ẹni tí kò mọ̀ wọ́n máa kà wọ́n kún ọlọ́rọ̀ látara àìṣagbe. O máa mọ̀ wọ́n pẹ̀lú àmì wọn. Wọn kò níí tọrọ n̄ǹkan lọ́wọ́ ènìyàn lemọ́lemọ́.¹ Ohunkóhun tí ẹ bá ná ní ohun rere, dájúdájú Allāhu ni Onímọ̀ nípa rẹ̀.

1. Àwọn aláìní wọ̀nyẹn ni a mọ̀ sí ahlus-suffah. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni Allāhu - subhānahu wa ta‘ālā - sọ nípa wọn nínú sūrah al-’An‘ām; 6:52 àti sūrah al-Kahf; 18:28.
