وَإِنۡ أَرَدتُّمُ ٱسۡتِبۡدَالَ زَوۡجٖ مَّكَانَ زَوۡجٖ وَءَاتَيۡتُمۡ إِحۡدَىٰهُنَّ قِنطَارٗا فَلَا تَأۡخُذُواْ مِنۡهُ شَيۡـًٔاۚ أَتَأۡخُذُونَهُۥ بُهۡتَٰنٗا وَإِثۡمٗا مُّبِينٗا

Tí ẹ bá sì fẹ́ fi ìyàwó kan pààrọ̀ àyè ìyàwó kan, tí ẹ sì ti fún ọ̀kan nínú wọn ní ọ̀pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ dúkìá, ẹ ò gbọdọ̀ gba n̄ǹkan kan nínú rẹ̀ mọ́. Ṣé ẹ̀yin yóò gbà á ní ti àdápa irọ́ (tí ẹ̀ ń pa mọ́ wọn) àti ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ tó fojú hàn(tí ẹ̀ ń dá nípa wọn)?¹

1. Pípa irọ́ mọ́ ìyàwó ẹni àti fífi ìnira kàn án nítorí kí ó lè sọ pé òun kò ṣe mọ́, - ṣebí ọkọ kúkú ti mọ̀ pé bí ìkọ̀sílẹ̀ bá wáyé láti ọ̀dọ̀ obìnrin, èyí tí a mọ̀ sí kul‘u, ó máa dá sọ̀daàkí rẹ̀ padà fún ọkọ - ó jẹ́ ìṣesí burúkú tí āyah yìí ń ṣe ní harām.
