An-Nisā’
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ وَخَلَقَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنۡهُمَا رِجَالٗا كَثِيرٗا وَنِسَآءٗۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي تَسَآءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡحَامَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ رَقِيبٗا
(1) O people, be Mindful of your Lord, Who created you from a single soul and from it He created its mate[783], and from both of them He dispersed scores of men and women[784]; be Mindful of Allah, by Whom you appeal to each other[785] and ˹honour˺ the wombs[786]—verily Allah is Watchful over you.
[783] Adam, the single soul, and Eve its mate (q) (cf. 8: 98; 9: 189; al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Saʿdī). That all people are the offspring of the same parents provides all the more reason for them to show leniency and compassion towards each other (cf. al-Rāzī).
[784] “Among His signs is that He created you from dust. Then, behold, you are human beings ranging far and wide” (30:20).
[785] Knowing how great God is in the heart of the entreated, the addresser would say: “I implore you by Allah (as’aluka bi Allāh) to do this or that”. The God Who is glorified in this way should also be heeded with equal homage (cf. al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Saʿdī). Alternatively, it means: “By Whom you ˹solemnly˺ bind each other ˹in your dealings and transactions”˺. (Cf. Ibn Taymiyyah, Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā: 32: 113)
[786] al-Arḥām, lit. the wombs, metonymically means relations of kinship. These relations are to be surrounded with care. They are to be safeguarded not severed. People’s rights, especially those of kith and kin, are to be honoured as much as God’s own rights (cf. Ibn Kathīr, al-Saʿdī), and hence why they are mentioned in conjunction with honouring the Almighty’s Name.

តាហ្វសៀរជាភាសាអារ៉ាប់ជាច្រេីន:
وَءَاتُواْ ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُواْ ٱلۡخَبِيثَ بِٱلطَّيِّبِۖ وَلَا تَأۡكُلُوٓاْ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حُوبٗا كَبِيرٗا
(2) ˹Guardians!˺ Give out to the orphans their money, do not exchange the bad for the good[787], and do not devour their money along with yours—indeed this is a heinous sin.
[787] Do not choose the most valuable property belonging to the orphans under your care and confiscate it as your own, leaving the less worthy of it to them. (al-Ṭabarī, al-Saʿdī)
តាហ្វសៀរជាភាសាអារ៉ាប់ជាច្រេីន:
وَإِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ أَلَّا تُقۡسِطُواْ فِي ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ فَٱنكِحُواْ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ مَثۡنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَۖ فَإِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ أَلَّا تَعۡدِلُواْ فَوَٰحِدَةً أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُكُمۡۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدۡنَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعُولُواْ
(3) If you fear you will not be fair to ˹your˺ orphan ˹prospective wives˺[788], then marry ˹instead˺ whoever you like of women: two, three and four. But if you fear that you will not be fair ˹in your treatment of all your wives˺ then one ˹is enough˺ or those that your right hands possess[789]—this is prescribed lest you commit injustice.
[788] ʿĀ’ishah (i) said that: “This aya came down regarding any man under whom there is an orphan girl for whom he is both guardian and inheritor, while she has money and with no one to argue in her favour. This guardian is enjoined not to marry her for her money, nor is he to beat or molest her in the process. In this respect, Allah says: “Should you fear that you would not be fair to ˹your˺ orphan ˹prospective wives˺, then marry ˹instead˺ whoever you like of women”. That is, He, the Almighty, is saying: “These I made lawful for you, and leave out those that you may be unfair to””. (Muslim: 3018; al-Bukhārī: 4573)

وَءَاتُواْ ٱلنِّسَآءَ صَدُقَٰتِهِنَّ نِحۡلَةٗۚ فَإِن طِبۡنَ لَكُمۡ عَن شَيۡءٖ مِّنۡهُ نَفۡسٗا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيٓـٔٗا مَّرِيٓـٔٗا
(4) Give women their dowry willingly as a right ˹of theirs˺, but if they allow you some of it contentedly then eat it pleasurably with good cheer.
តាហ្វសៀរជាភាសាអារ៉ាប់ជាច្រេីន:
وَلَا تُؤۡتُواْ ٱلسُّفَهَآءَ أَمۡوَٰلَكُمُ ٱلَّتِي جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ قِيَٰمٗا وَٱرۡزُقُوهُمۡ فِيهَا وَٱكۡسُوهُمۡ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمۡ قَوۡلٗا مَّعۡرُوفٗا
(5) Do not hand over to the feeble-minded your money which Allah made as sustenance for you; ˹yet˺ spend on them from it, clothe them and speak to them gently.
តាហ្វសៀរជាភាសាអារ៉ាប់ជាច្រេីន:
وَٱبۡتَلُواْ ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغُواْ ٱلنِّكَاحَ فَإِنۡ ءَانَسۡتُم مِّنۡهُمۡ رُشۡدٗا فَٱدۡفَعُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَأۡكُلُوهَآ إِسۡرَافٗا وَبِدَارًا أَن يَكۡبَرُواْۚ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِيّٗا فَلۡيَسۡتَعۡفِفۡۖ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيرٗا فَلۡيَأۡكُلۡ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۚ فَإِذَا دَفَعۡتُمۡ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ فَأَشۡهِدُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ حَسِيبٗا
(6) Test the orphans[790], so that when they reach maturity – if you perceive them discerning – give them their money. Do not hastily devour or squander it fearing that they should ˹in time˺ grow up. Whoever of you is well off, let him forbear ˹in dignity˺; whoever of you is needy let him eat off ˹of it˺ proportionately[791]. Should you hand over their money to them, let there be witnesses to bear this—Allah is sufficient as Reckoner.
[790] Take measure of those orphans over whom you are guardian so as to ascertain that they are discerning enough to be given their money and will not squander it due to lack of mental maturity. (al-Ṭabarī, al-Saʿdī)
