33 : 12

33. He said, "My Lord, prison is dearer to me than what they are inviting me to.
If You do not turn their cunning away from me, I might yield to them and become among the ignorant [9]."

[9]. This noble Prophet did not rely on his own strength. He sought refuge in Allāh — recognizing that without divine protection, even the most righteous can falter.
From this we learn:
- Temptation is powerful, but Allāh’s protection is stronger.
- True strength lies in saying “No” to sin for the sake of Allāh.
- Purity is not weakness; it is victory of the soul.
The Prophet’s (ﷺ) Warnings About Temptation.
Muhammad, The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “I have not left behind me a temptation more harmful to men than women.”
And he also said: “Beware of the world, and beware of (the temptation of) women.”
This is not a condemnation of women, but a warning to men about their own desires, and a reminder for both genders to protect their modesty and avoid seclusion or situations that lead to sin.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"No man should be alone with a woman (who is not his maḥram), for whenever a man and a woman are alone together, the third among them is Saṭān."
Strengthen the heart through worship — prayer, fasting, and supplication.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“O young men, whoever among you can afford marriage, let him marry… and whoever cannot, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him.”
Be vigilant with modern temptation — screens, social media, and private messaging are the new forms of seclusion.
Allāh raises those who resist temptation.
Joseph was thrown into prison for choosing chastity — yet Allāh elevated him to rule Egypt and made him a model of sincerity.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Whoever leaves something for the sake of Allāh, Allāh will replace it with something better.”
