ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِۚ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِكُمۡ إِذۡ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِذۡ أَنتُمۡ أَجِنَّةٞ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمۡۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۡۖ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ
32. Those who stay away from major sins [10] and indecencies except minor faults. Indeed, your Lord (Allāh) is vast in Forgiveness. He knows best about you. When He originated you from the earth, and when you were embryos in your mother's wombs. So do not, then, consider yourselves pure [11]. He knows best he who fears (Allāh, and shuns evil).
[10]. Muhammad, God's messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), said: “Avoid the deadly sins, follow the right course, and give glad tidings.”
[11]. Do not elevate yourselves and be wise in your own eyes.
