يَوۡمَ يُكۡشَفُ عَن سَاقٖ وَيُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ
42. On the Day when the Shin will be bared [9], and they (the deniers and hypocrites) will be called upon to prostrate, but they will not be able to do so [10],
[9]. In accordance with authentic ḥadīths: "The Shin" here refers to that of Allāh, before which every believer will prostrate on the Day of Judgement. Another meaning of the verse: When legs are bared and everyone will find before him great difficulty.
[10]. As they failed to do so willingly in this worldly life.
