يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ قَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكُمۡ لِبَاسٗا يُوَٰرِي سَوۡءَٰتِكُمۡ وَرِيشٗاۖ وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
26. O children of Adam, We have provided you with clothing to cover your private parts and as an adornment for you, but the garment of righteousness is far better [9]. That is from the signs of Allāh, so that you may take heed.
[9]. Instead of striving merely to adorn ourselves with the latest fashions of the world, we should seek to be clothed with the garments of the spirit — love, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Let us learn to be patient with one another on our shared journey to Allāh, following the Truth brought by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from our Creator. In doing so, our hearts are transformed and purified — a journey that leads to true and lasting peace.
