89 : 7

قَدِ ٱفۡتَرَيۡنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا إِنۡ عُدۡنَا فِي مِلَّتِكُم بَعۡدَ إِذۡ نَجَّىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ مِنۡهَاۚ وَمَا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّعُودَ فِيهَآ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّنَاۚ وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عِلۡمًاۚ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَاۚ رَبَّنَا ٱفۡتَحۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ قَوۡمِنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡفَٰتِحِينَ

89. We would indeed have invented a lie against Allāh if we were to return to your faith [and way of life], after Allāh has saved us from it. It is not for us to return to it unless Allāh, our Lord, wills so ^[20]. Our Lord comprehends all things in Knowledge [and Power]. In Allāh alone do we place our full trust. Our Lord, decide between us and our people with justice, for You are the best of arbiters.

[20]. All creatures are subject to the will of Almighty Allāh, Who knows everything present, past and future.
