وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئۡذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفۡتِنِّيٓۚ أَلَا فِي ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ سَقَطُواْۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
49. Among them is he who says, “Grant me permission [to stay behind] and do not expose me to trial.” Unquestionably, into trial [26], they have fallen down, and indeed, Hell will surely encompass the disbelievers.
[26]. By avoiding their obligations, they fell into trial.
