ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ بَعۡضُهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡضٖۚ يَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَيَقۡبِضُونَ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡۚ نَسُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ هُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
67. The hypocrite men and women are of one another; they enjoin what is evil, forbid what is good, and withhold their hands [from giving in the way of Allāh]. They have forgotten Allāh [31], so He has forgotten them [32]. Indeed, the hypocrites — it is they who are the defiantly disobedient.
[31]. I.e., neglected the devotion that is due to Him from them.
[32]. i.e., abandoned them in the Hellfire.
