قَالَ لَوۡ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمۡ قُوَّةً أَوۡ ءَاوِيٓ إِلَىٰ رُكۡنٖ شَدِيدٖ
80. (Lot) said: "If only I had power against you, or could take refuge in a strong support.[14]"
[14]. He thought he lacked the necessary cover of protection, especially that of his own clan. But, in that dire situation, his Protector was none but Allāh Almighty. Mohammad, God's messenger (ﷺ) said: “May Allāh bless Lūṭ; he sought the support of ˹true˺ mighty Backing."
