31. Whatever We have revealed to you 'Muhammad' of the Book 'the Qur’an', that is the Truth confirming that which is before it12. Indeed, Allāh is All-Aware, Ever Seeing of His slaves 'of mankind and jinn'.
12. Of the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel, etc.
When the Prophet (ﷺ) got up at night to offer the night prayer, he used to say: (O Allah! All the praises are for you, You are the Holder of the Heavens and the Earth, And whatever is in them. All the praises are for You; You have the possession of the Heavens and the Earth And whatever is in them. All the praises are for You; You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth And all the praises are for You; You are the King of the Heavens and the Earth; And all the praises are for You; You are the Truth and Your Promise is the truth, And to meet You is true, Your Word is the truth And Paradise is true And Hell is true And all the Prophets (Peace be upon them) are true; And Muhammad is true, And the Day of Resurrection is true. O Allah ! I surrender (my will) to You; I believe in You and depend on You. And repent to You, And with Your help I argue (with my opponents, the non-believers) And I take You as a judge (to judge between us). Please forgive me my previous And future sins; And whatever I concealed or revealed And You are the One who make (some people) forward And (some) backward. There is none to be worshipped but you . There is neither might nor power except with Allah.
32. Then We caused to inherit the Book 'the Qur’an' those whom We chose from among Our servants; of them is he who is unjust to himself13, and of them is he who is moderate14, and of them is he who excels through good deeds by the Permission of Allāh. This is the Great Bounty.
13. Who mixes good deeds with evil ones.
14. Who fulfills the minimum requirements and avoids the forbidden acts.
34. Saying: "All praise be to Allāh, Who has removed from us 'all' grief15. Our Lord 'Allāh' is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Appreciative,"
15. Grief, sickness, suffering and sadness are part and parcel of this imperfect world but it is not attributed to Allāh. The Prophet said: “And evil is not attributable to You”. Thus Allâh’s decree by itself has no evil whatsoever, because it is coming from perfect mercy and wisdom. Evil may, however, result from some of His decrees. Despite this, evil in His decree is not pure evil. It is rather evil in one respect and good in another, or it is evil in one case and good in another. Thus corruption in the land resulting from drought, disease, poverty, and fear is evil, but it is good in another respect. Allâh, the Exalted said: “Corruption has appeared on the land and sea for what men’s hands have earned. Allâh has ordained this for men, so that they may taste some of what they have done, in order that they may turn back [from evil] .” Allāh is loving, kind, most compassionate and most merciful. He is completely good. Allāh is light, and in him is no darkness at all. People dying because of some complicated diseases are just one of the many things that show how this imperfect world works! It doesn’t matter if you’re pious or wicked - one day, you will get sick and you’ll die. But if you die as a Muslim, believer, believing in Allāh and following His messenger, the Prophet Muhammad, you will be in the next life in a place where there is no sickness, suffering, or sadness. A perfect world, a world like Allāh intended it to be. No doubt, we are required to live in this world a righteous life so that we live good in it despite it's trials and tests. If anything bad happen to us in this imperfect world it is what our hands has earned and Allāh pardons much. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him, used to seek refuge in Allāh from grief, anxiety, sorrow, disability, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, the burdens of debt, and the repression of men. He also used to seek refuge in Allāh from doubt, associating partners with Allāh, bias, anger, injustice, jealousy, the ills of the heart, reaching the age of second childhood - senile old age, and the torment of the grave. Which are all experienced in this imperfect world. But once you are admitted to paradise, you will forget all the ills and the hardships of this imperfect world and will thank Allāh for the great reward.
36. As for those who deny 'the Truth', for them is the Fire of Gehinnom; where they will neither be finished off by death, nor will the torment thereof be lightened for them. Thus do We recompense every ungrateful one.
37. They will cry therein for help 'saying': "Our Lord 'Allāh', take us out of here; we shall do righteous deeds other than those which we used to do. (They will be told): "Did We not grant you a life long enough, so that whosoever would receive admonition could receive it? And there came to you the warner "the prophet Muhammad'; so taste (the result of your evil deeds); for the the unjust, there is no helper for them."
