مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ ثَوَابُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعَۢا بَصِيرٗا
134. Whoever desires the reward of this world, [know that] with Allāh is the reward of this world and the Hereafter [57]. And Allāh is ever All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
[57]. People who are heedless of Allāh are too eager to gain that which is worldly and think not of the life to come. Here, Allāh reminds them that it is with Him that the gains of not only this worldly life but also that of the Hereafter life. All the more reason, then, for them to pay Him heed.
