ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߡߐ߱ ߝߐߘߊ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊߟߌ - ߦߊ߰ߞߎߓߊ߫ ߓߟߏ߫ - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

Al-Insān

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 1

هَلۡ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَٰنِ حِينٞ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهۡرِ لَمۡ يَكُن شَيۡـٔٗا مَّذۡكُورًا

1. Has there come over man a span of time when he was nothing to be mentioned?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 2

إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ أَمۡشَاجٖ نَّبۡتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ سَمِيعَۢا بَصِيرًا

2. We have created man out of a drop of intermingled sperm¹, in order to test him², so We made him hearing and seeing.

1. That is the seminal fluid of the man and the ovarian fluid of the woman that have mixed.
2. With the moral obligations of Islam.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 3

إِنَّا هَدَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرٗا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

3. We showed him the right path, whether he would be grateful3 or ungrateful.

3. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of Allāh.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 4

إِنَّآ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ سَلَٰسِلَاْ وَأَغۡلَٰلٗا وَسَعِيرًا

4. indeed, We have prepared for the deniers chains, shackles, and a blazing Fire.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 5

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ يَشۡرَبُونَ مِن كَأۡسٖ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا

5. The virtuous will drink from a cup (of pure wine) mixed with camphor (in Paradise).

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 6

عَيۡنٗا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ ٱللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفۡجِيرٗا

6. A spring from which the (righteous) servants of Allāh shall drink; causing it to gush forth abundantly.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 7

يُوفُونَ بِٱلنَّذۡرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوۡمٗا كَانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسۡتَطِيرٗا

7. They 'are those who' fulfill 'their' vows4, and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread.

4. When you make a vow to Allāh, do not delay fulfilling it. Fulfill what you vow. Better that you do not vow than that you vow and not fulfill it.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 8

وَيُطۡعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسۡكِينٗا وَيَتِيمٗا وَأَسِيرًا

8. They give food5, out of love for Him 'Allāh', to the needy, the orphan and the captive,

5. Muhammad, God's messenger said: 'O people, 'share Islam' and spread peace 'and love to one another', give food to the poor, uphold the ties of kinship, pray during the night while people 'normally' sleep, and you will enter Paradise in joy and peace.'"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 9

إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَآءٗ وَلَا شُكُورًا

9. (Saying within themselves): "We only feed you seeking the Face of Allāh; we do not want any reward or thanks from you,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 10

إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوۡمًا عَبُوسٗا قَمۡطَرِيرٗا

10. Indeed, we fear from 'Allāh' our Lord a Day, hard and distressful6.

6. That will make the faces look horrible from extreme dislike to it.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 11

فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمۡ نَضۡرَةٗ وَسُرُورٗا

11. So Allāh will protect them from the evil of that Day, and will bestow on them brightness and joy,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 12

وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُواْ جَنَّةٗ وَحَرِيرٗا

12. For their patience and perseverance, He will reward them with a garden (of bliss) and (garments of) silk;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 13

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِۖ لَا يَرَوۡنَ فِيهَا شَمۡسٗا وَلَا زَمۡهَرِيرٗا

13. Reclining therein on raised couches, they will find therein neither (the severe heat of) the sun nor intense cold,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 14

وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيۡهِمۡ ظِلَٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتۡ قُطُوفُهَا تَذۡلِيلٗا

14. And near above them are its shades, and its fruits being easy to reach.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 15

وَيُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِم بِـَٔانِيَةٖ مِّن فِضَّةٖ وَأَكۡوَابٖ كَانَتۡ قَوَارِيرَا۠

15. They will be circulated among them vessels of silver and chalices made of clear goblets;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 16

قَوَارِيرَاْ مِن فِضَّةٖ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقۡدِيرٗا

16. (Crystal clear) goblets of silver, filled precisely as desired.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 17

وَيُسۡقَوۡنَ فِيهَا كَأۡسٗا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلًا

17. They will be given to drink therein a cup (of pure wine) mixed with the ginger (of Paradise),

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 18

عَيۡنٗا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلۡسَبِيلٗا

18. (from) a spring therein named Salsabeel.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 19

۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَٰنٞ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ حَسِبۡتَهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤٗا مَّنثُورٗا

19. They will be served by immortal youths. When you see them, you would think
them like scattered pearls.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 20

وَإِذَا رَأَيۡتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيۡتَ نَعِيمٗا وَمُلۡكٗا كَبِيرًا

20. Wherever you look there 'in Paradise', you will see Bliss and a Great Kingdom.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 21

عَٰلِيَهُمۡ ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضۡرٞ وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقٞۖ وَحُلُّوٓاْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةٖ وَسَقَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ شَرَابٗا طَهُورًا

21. Upon them will be fine green silk and rich brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord 'Allāh' will give them a purifying drink.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 22

إِنَّ هَٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ جَزَآءٗ وَكَانَ سَعۡيُكُم مَّشۡكُورًا

22. This is a reward for you, and your effort has been appreciated.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 23

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَنزِيلٗا

23. It is We 'Allāh' Who have sent down the Qur’an to you 'Muhammad' revealing (it) gradually, in stages.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 24

فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مِنۡهُمۡ ءَاثِمًا أَوۡ كَفُورٗا

24. So be patient for the Decree of 'Allāh' your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one7.

7. Warn them that are undisciplined, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 25

وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ بُكۡرَةٗ وَأَصِيلٗا

25. Remember and Praise the Name of 'Allāh' your Lord morning and evening8,

8. I.e., referring to the morning, noon, and afternoon prayers.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 26

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَٱسۡجُدۡ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحۡهُ لَيۡلٗا طَوِيلًا

26. And during the night9 prostrate to Him, and glorify Him with praise a long (part of the) night (in optional night prayer).

9. I.e., the sunset and evening prayers.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 27

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمۡ يَوۡمٗا ثَقِيلٗا

27. These 'pagans' love this short worldly life, and leave behind them a Grievous Day10.

10. I.e., neglect the remembrance of the Judgment Day that awaits them, not working towards it and for their salvation.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 28

نَّحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَٰهُمۡ وَشَدَدۡنَآ أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ وَإِذَا شِئۡنَا بَدَّلۡنَآ أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ تَبۡدِيلًا

28. It is We 'Allāh' who created them and strengthened their frame. Had We wanted, We could have replaced them entirely with others of their kind.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 29

إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةٞۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلٗا

29. Indeed, this is a Reminder (for all mankind and jinn), so whoever wills, let him take the 'right' way to his Lord - Allāh -.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 30

وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمٗا

30. Yet you cannot will, unless Allāh wills. Indeed, Allāh is ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 31

يُدۡخِلُ مَن يَشَآءُ فِي رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ وَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِيمَۢا

31. He admits whomever He wills to His mercy. As for the workers of iniquity11, He has prepared for them a painful torment.

11. The idolaters, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the thieves, the extortioners guilty of snatching away from another by strife, greed, and oppression that which does not lawfully belong to them, those who practice magic arts, those who utters curses or that shouts verbally abusive language, and all the liars.
