11. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "The one who maintains ties of kinship is not the one who reciprocates. The one who maintains ties of kinship is the one who, when his relatives cut him off, maintains ties of kinship."
[12]. This verse emphasizes not returning evil for evil, even when wronged, choosing instead to act with kindness and compassion. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good, responding to negativity or harmful actions with positive and kind deeds, promoting goodness.
By consistently exhibiting good behavior, one can have a positive impact on others and potentially change their hearts.
The prophet Muhammad is the ultimate example of overcoming evil with good through his teachings and actions despite facing persecution.
[13]. Believers in Allāh and His Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, have a refuge — a sacred retreat — where they find rest amid the storms of this turbulent world.
Their hearts whisper: “You, O Allāh, are our shelter and our place of safety. In You alone do we seek refuge.”
Allāh and His houses of worship are our true havens of peace. Within the mosques, where His Name is remembered and the Qur’an is recited, hearts find calm, renewal, and joy. Allāh invites us to draw near and find rest in Him. He calls gently: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. You who find comfort in My remembrance — in My remembrance your hearts shall find peace.” So let the believer return again and again to the remembrance of Allāh — for in His presence, in His worship, and in His Words, we find rest — at any time, every time, and all the time.
