لَوۡ أَرَدۡنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهۡوٗا لَّٱتَّخَذۡنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ
17. Had We intended to take a pastime [7], We would have taken it from 'what is' Our presence, if We were doers [8].
[7]. I.e. a wife or a son.
[8]. Such a thing, Glory be to Allāh, He is Highly Exalted above that.
