Ash-Sharh

1. Did We not expand for you (O prophet Muhammad) your chest¹,
1. I.e., comfort, assure, and enlighten your heart with guidance.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
2. And We removed from you your burden²,
2. Forgave your previous or future errors if any, or removed from you the anxiety you experienced at the beginning of your mission.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
3. that weighed heavily on your back?
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
4. And We raised high your repute?
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
5. For surely, with hardship comes ease3.
3. During the time of hardship, especially when we have troubles and pain let us take it easy. The fact is that these troubles are not really major ones. One day Allah will show us all the great things he has prepared for us. That will make the troubles that we have before seem very minor. For the sufferings of this present world are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be given to the believers in the Hereafterlife.
The Prophet Muhammad said:
“The most affluent of the people in this world, of those who will go to Hell, will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be dipped in the Fire once. Then it will be said, 'O son of Adam, did you ever see anything good? Did you ever have any pleasure?' He will say, 'No, by Allah, O Lord.' Then the most destitute of the people in this world, of those who will enter Paradise, will be brought and dipped in Paradise once, and it will be said to him, 'O son of Adam, did you ever experience any suffering or pain? Did you ever see any hardship?' He will say, 'No, by Allah, O Lord. I never saw any hardship, and I never experienced any suffering or pain."

6. Indeed, with hardship comes ease4.
4. For I know the plans I have for you 'O Prophet and believers', plans to prosper you and not to fail or foresake you, plans to give you good life and a great future.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
7. So when you have fulfilled 'your duty' strive 'in devotion'.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
8. And to your Lord 'Allāh alone' seek 'i.e., of His Grace' and ask Him your needs.
